Anti-Spam Policy

Last updated: 8 July 2026

At KaKiSo, India's dropshipping and reselling marketplace, we connect Suppliers and ReSellers so that products move smoothly from warehouse to customer — we pack & ship, you keep your margin. Every message that carries the KaKiSo name, or that our ReSellers and Suppliers send to their own customers, reflects on the trust of our entire community.

This Anti-Spam Policy explains what spam means on KaKiSo, the promises we make about your data and our communications, and the rules every member must follow when messaging customers. It applies to all Suppliers, ReSellers, staff and anyone using our platform, tools or catalogues.

1. Purpose of this policy

The purpose of this policy is to keep KaKiSo a safe, respectful and legally compliant place to do business. Unsolicited and irrelevant messaging erodes customer trust, damages sender reputation and can breach Indian telecom and messaging laws. By setting clear expectations, we protect the deliverability of legitimate messages, safeguard customers from nuisance, and preserve the reputation of the KaKiSo brand for the 23,000+ ReSellers who rely on it.

By registering as a ReSeller or Supplier, using our catalogues, or sending messages through any KaKiSo tool or integration, you agree to follow the standards described here.

2. What we consider spam

We treat "spam" as any electronic message — email, SMS, WhatsApp, push notification, in-app message or otherwise — that is unsolicited, bulk, deceptive or irrelevant to the person receiving it. In practice, this includes:

  • Bulk messages sent to people who never asked to hear from you or gave no valid consent.
  • Messages to purchased, scraped, harvested or rented contact lists.
  • Repeated or excessive messaging after a customer has asked you to stop.
  • Misleading sender names, subject lines, links or offers designed to trick the recipient.
  • Content unrelated to a product, order or service the customer actually expressed interest in.

Context matters: a helpful order update sent to a paying customer is welcome, while the same channel used for unrequested promotions to strangers is spam.

3. Our commitment to you

KaKiSo holds itself to the same standard we ask of our members. When it comes to your data and the messages we send, we commit that:

  • We never sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing.
  • We only message you with your consent or where it is genuinely needed to run your account and orders.
  • We keep our communications relevant — order updates, restocks, payouts and product news you have opted into.
  • Every marketing message we send includes a clear, working way to unsubscribe or opt out.
  • We honour opt-out requests promptly and store your data securely, in line with our Privacy Policy.

Transactional messages — such as order confirmations, shipping updates and security alerts — are essential to the service and may be sent even if you have opted out of marketing.

4. Your responsibilities as a ReSeller or Supplier

When you message your own customers — whether about a catalogue you shared, an order, or a promotion — you are the sender and you are responsible for staying compliant. You must:

  • Obtain clear consent before adding anyone to a promotional list, and keep a record of how that consent was given.
  • Offer an easy opt-out in every promotional message and stop messaging anyone who asks you to stop.
  • Never send unsolicited bulk messages or contact people who have not asked to hear from you.
  • Respect India's DND registry and TRAI regulations, including registered-sender and consent-based messaging norms for SMS and calls.
  • Follow WhatsApp's Business and Commerce Policies, using approved templates and opt-in flows and never messaging users who have blocked or reported you.
  • Keep every message honest and relevant — accurate prices, real availability, genuine offers and no misleading claims.

Following these norms is not just a KaKiSo rule — it is the law. High spam-report or block rates can get your phone number or sender ID restricted by carriers and by WhatsApp, independent of any action we take.

5. Prohibited activities

Regardless of intent, the following activities are strictly prohibited on or through KaKiSo:

  • Buying, selling, sharing, scraping or importing contact lists gathered without consent.
  • Sending unsolicited bulk or automated messages by email, SMS, WhatsApp or any other channel.
  • Falsifying sender identity, headers, links or "from" details to hide who is messaging.
  • Using KaKiSo catalogues, tools or branding to send spam or deceptive offers.
  • Continuing to message anyone after they have opted out, blocked or reported you.
  • Distributing content that is unlawful, fraudulent, adult, hateful or contains malware or phishing links.
  • Evading spam filters, rate limits or opt-out mechanisms through any technical workaround.

6. Consequences of violations

We investigate every credible report of spam or abuse. Depending on the severity and history of the violation, we may take one or more of the following actions — and, for serious or repeated breaches, may move straight to suspension or termination:

Warning

A formal notice explaining the breach, with a chance to correct your practices.

Suspension

Temporary loss of messaging, catalogue or account access while we review.

Termination

Permanent closure of your account, with any pending dues and legal action reserved.

We also reserve the right to report serious violations to WhatsApp, telecom carriers, TRAI or law-enforcement authorities where required. Nothing here limits any other remedy available to KaKiSo under our Terms of Service or applicable law.

7. How to report spam

If you have received spam that appears to come from KaKiSo, a KaKiSo ReSeller or a KaKiSo Supplier — or you believe a member is breaching this policy — please tell us. Reports are treated confidentially.

Email hello@kakiso.com with the sender's details, the channel used, the date and time, and a screenshot or copy of the message if you can. The more detail you share, the faster we can act.

We aim to acknowledge every report within a few business days and will take appropriate action once we have investigated.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Anti-Spam Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, in messaging platform rules, or in Indian law and regulation. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify members through the platform or by email.

Your continued use of KaKiSo after an update means you accept the revised policy, so we encourage you to review this page periodically.
